Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana is Uttar Pradesh's flagship girl child welfare scheme providing Rs. 25,000 in six installments from birth to graduation to promote education, health, and prevent early marriage.

- •Total financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 provided across six stages: Rs. 5,000 at birth, Rs. 2,000 after first-year vaccination, Rs. 3,000 on Class 1 admission, Rs. 3,000 on Class 6 admission, Rs. 5,000 on Class 9 admission, Rs. 7,000 on graduation/diploma enrollment

Eligibility Criteria
Additional Prerequisites
- Maximum of two girls per family can receive the benefit
- Special provisions for families with twin girls in a second delivery or legally adopted girl children
- Must have domicile proof of Uttar Pradesh (Ration Card, Aadhaar, Voter ID)
- Bank account (preferably in mother's name) linked with Aadhaar for DBT

How to Apply (Step-by-Step Guide)
Visit the official MKSY portal (mksy.up.gov.in)
Register as a 'Citizen' using your mobile number and verify via OTP
Login and create profiles for both parent and girl child
Select the specific milestone stage for which you are applying
Upload the required stage-specific documents and submit
Visit the nearest Block Development Office or District Probation Officer's office
Obtain and fill the application form with all required details
Submit the form along with document copies at the designated counter
Block-level officers verify the application and process DBT
