Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana is Bihar's flagship girl child empowerment scheme providing Rs. 50,000 as a one-time graduation scholarship to unmarried girls, along with milestone-based financial support from birth through higher education.
Welfare Benefits & Assistance
- •Rs. 50,000 one-time scholarship upon completing graduation from a recognized university in Bihar
- •Additional financial support at earlier milestones: Rs. 2,000 at birth, Rs. 1,000 after first year vaccination, Rs. 2,000 on admission to Class 1, Rs. 2,000 on admission to Class 6, Rs. 3,000 on admission to Class 9, and Rs. 5,000 on passing Class 12
- •Promotes girl child education and delays early marriage
- •All payments via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the girl's Aadhaar-linked bank account

Additional Prerequisites
- The beneficiary must be an unmarried girl at the time of receiving the graduation scholarship of Rs. 50,000
- Must have passed graduation (BA, BSc, BCom, or equivalent) from a recognized university in Bihar
- Must have an Aadhaar-linked bank account in her own name
- University must have uploaded results to the Medhasoft portal

Contact your college or university administration to confirm your results have been uploaded to Medhasoft
If facing online issues, visit the District Education Office for assisted registration
Submit printed copies of documents at the designated counter
