About the Scheme
Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is Karnataka's major social assistance scheme providing Rs. 2,000 per month to the registered female heads of households to support their family requirements and promote economic independence.

Eligibility Criteria
Additional Prerequisites
- Only one female head per household can receive the benefit
- Must not be an Income Tax payer
- The spouse of the female head must not be an Income Tax payer or file GST returns
- Must have an active bank account linked to Aadhaar for DBT

How to Apply (Step-by-Step Guide)
Visit the official Seva Sindhu Portal (sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in)
Register a citizen account using Aadhaar verification
Log in and search for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme application form
Enter personal information, husband's Aadhaar, bank details, and ration card number
Upload scanned documents and click submit
Track your application status using the generated Application ID
Identify your registration slot by sending your Ration Card number via SMS to 08147500500 or checking online at sevasindhugs1.karnataka.gov.in/gl-stat-sns/
Visit the designated registration centre (Gram One, Karnataka One, Bengaluru One, or Bapuji Seva Kendra) at the scheduled slot
Provide your BPL/APL/Antyodaya ration card, bank passbook, and Aadhaar to the desk operator (Praja Pratinidhi)
The operator will submit the registration details on the government portal
Collect the printed application acknowledgment receipt
Who Should Apply?
- ✓Women heads of households in Karnataka possessing BPL or Antyodaya cards
- ✓Married or widowed women recorded as heads of families in ration cards
- ✓Eligible APL cardholders whose household income falls below tax-paying slabs
Who Should NOT Apply?
- ✗Families where the head of household or spouse is an active taxpayer
- ✗Women who are not permanent residents of Karnataka
- ✗Families not holding any digital ration cards
