About the Scheme
Mahtari Vandan Yojana is Chhattisgarh's flagship women welfare scheme providing Rs. 1,000 per month to eligible married, widowed, and divorced women through Direct Benefit Transfer to support household expenses and women's empowerment.
Welfare Benefits & Assistance
- •Monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,000 deposited via DBT to the woman's Aadhaar-linked bank account
- •Total annual benefit of Rs. 12,000 per eligible woman
- •Payments continue month-on-month as long as eligibility is maintained
- •Supports household nutrition, health, and financial independence
Eligibility Criteria
Additional Prerequisites
- Must be a married woman; widowed, divorced, and abandoned women are also eligible
- Must have an individual (not joint) Aadhaar-linked bank account that is DBT-enabled
- Must not be a current or former government employee (or spouse of one)
- Family members must not be income taxpayers or hold elected office

How to Apply (Step-by-Step Guide)
Visit the official portal mahtarivandan.cgstate.gov.in
Check eligibility and beneficiary status using Aadhaar number
If open for new registrations, submit application through the portal
Visit the nearest Anganwadi centre or Gram Panchayat office
Carry Aadhaar card, marriage certificate, income certificate, and bank passbook
The Anganwadi worker or Panchayat official will assist with registration
