About the Scheme

PMFBY provides affordable crop insurance to all farmers, covering losses from natural calamities, pests, and diseases.

Welfare Benefits & Assistance

  • Crop insurance at nominal premium: 2% Kharif, 1.5% Rabi, 5% commercial crops
  • Full sum insured for crop loss due to natural calamities
  • Post-harvest loss coverage for 14 days

    • Annual financial support of Rs. 13,500 per farmer family for agricultural investment, provided through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)
    • In addition to the state's Rs. 13,500, eligible farmers also receive Rs. 6,000 per year under PM-KISAN (central scheme), bringing total annual support to Rs. 19,500

    Odisha KALIA Yojana (CM-KISAN)

    Small and marginal farmers in Odisha owning up to 2 hectares

    Key Benefits
    • Small and marginal farmers: Rs. 4,000 per year in two installments of Rs. 2,000 (around Nuakhai and Akshaya Tritiya)
